LEGISLATURE CONSIDERING UMS FUNDINGThe Maine Legislature's Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee and Education and Cultural Affairs Committee held a joint hearing on 02/24/2009 to hear testimony on higher education appropriations. Governor Baldacci has proposed a 2.7% reduction for UMS. Chancellor Pattenaude testified, as did AFUM President Ron Mosley, whose testimony is available here.
